 Segovia Spanish, Luxury wedding!

Fabio & Alexandra

A Two-Year Journey to the Hills of Segovia:Fabio & Alexandra’s Spanish Wedding Weekend

Planning Fabio and Alexandra’s destination wedding in Segovia was a two-year journey of bringing their vision to life  a blend of English elegance and Spanish tradition, set against the historic beauty of one of Spain’s most picturesque towns. With over 150 guests flying in from across the globe, this was more than a wedding; it was an unforgettable weekend celebration.

A Warm Spanish Welcome

The festivities began with a relaxed welcome night in a charming local courtyard a true taste of Spain. Guests were greeted with flowing drinks, a variety of tapas, and the warm, communal atmosphere that defined the weekend from the very start. It was the perfect way for both families to connect and settle into the stunning surroundings of Segovia.

A Ceremony Steeped in Meaning

The wedding day itself began with a traditional Spanish ceremony held in a historic church at the heart of the town a place especially meaningful as it’s where the groom’s father resides. Alexandra, originally from England, flew out her closest friends and family to be part of the celebration, and the ceremony was a beautiful blend of cultures and personal history.

Cocktails, Canapés & a View to Remember

Following the ceremony, guests were transported to an incredible venue nestled in the hills of Segovia. A live string quartet set the tone as signature cocktails “his and hers” were served alongside a jamón carving station and a selection of the couple’s favourite canapés. Every detail was carefully curated to reflect Fabio and Alexandra’s tastes and shared love of food, music, and meaningful hospitality.

A Michelin-Starred Feast

Dinner was served outdoors as the sun began to dip behind the hills, revealing the full magic of the setting. Guests were treated to a six course Michelin starred wedding breakfast, a highlight of the day, paired with heartfelt speeches and the soft glow of candlelight. True to Spanish tradition, the celebration began later in the day and continued deep into the night.

Dancing ‘Til Sunrise

The party moved underground quite literally  into the venue’s hidden cave, where a DJ took over and the dancing didn’t stop until 5am, just as the sun began to rise. It was one of those rare moments where time felt suspended, and the joy in the room was impossible to miss.

A Thoughtful Farewell

The weekend closed with a farewell breakfast the following morning, giving the couple a chance to spend more time with their loved ones and properly thank them before everyone began their journeys home. It was the perfect, gentle close to a weekend full of unforgettable memories.

I had the pleasure of fully planning Fabio and Alexandra’s three-day wedding in Segovia, Spain, over two years. The weekend included a welcome night with tapas in a Spanish courtyard, a traditional church ceremony, and a celebration featuring live music, signature cocktails, a jamón station, and Michelin-star dining overlooking the hills. The party continued into the early hours in a hidden cave, with a farewell brunch the next day to close a truly unforgettable weekend.
